In fall 2008, Liberty Hill invested in voter education to defeat Prop 8 (which denies same-sex couples the right to marry). In response to the passage of Prop 8, Liberty Hill intensified its efforts to advance full equality.

Right now, Liberty Hill is helping to ensure that the next campaign for same-sex marriage is a winning campaign. We've invested in research to inform future campaign strategies. We are funding effective LGBTQ organizations to do outreach and education on the frontlines, and we are building alliances between communities to forge a common strategy to win.

Because of our 30-year track record of investment in communities of color and LGBTQ communities, we are uniquely positioned to change the hearts and minds needed for full equality.
