Senior Program Manager, Environmental Health & Justice

"Throughout my career, I have been driven by work that creates tangible, equitable outcomes for historically disenfranchised populations. I view communities and the environment through a social justice lens, and implement culturally inclusive methods to work with socially, economically and racially diverse groups of people."

As the Senior Program Manager, Bayoán leads the emPOWER initiative that advocates for the equitable implantation of programs for low income communities of color in the City and County of Los Angeles to overcome barriers to sustainable energy usage. He also supports the Standing Together Against Neighborhood campaign as Liberty Hill’s strategic partner.

Over the past decade, Bayoán has worked in various grassroots organizations. He spent three years organizing food services airport workers for UNITE HERE in New York, NY and then five years as member of the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative’s Sustainable Economic Development team in Boston, MA. After receiving his Master of Public Policy from Tufts University, he relocated to Los Angeles and worked at the East L.A. Community Corporation in the Affordable Housing Real Estate Department.
