Board Service: 2014 – Present

Doe Mayer holds the Mary Pickford Chair at USC's School of Cinematic Arts where she teaches documentary and fiction filmmaking. She has a joint appointment with the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. She also teaches classes on media and social change at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

For over 25 years, Professor Mayer has been creating media productions for social change in the United States and developing countries. She is currently producing a film to help identify and prevent psychosis in Latino communities.

Professor Mayer has developed and led many workshops for non-profits and non-governmental organizations. Locally, she has worked with Liberty Hill grantees such as Strategic Actions for a Just Economy (SAJE), the Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance (KIWA) and the Los Angeles Black Worker Center, both through the Wally Marks Leadership Institute and as a volunteer.
