Mission Statement: Committed to bringing about lasting social change, The XX Fund is a women’s giving circle that makes annual grants to non-profit organizations that enable women and girls to reach their potential, strive for economic justice and live free of discrimination and violence.
Annual membership to The XX Fund is a minimum contribution of $1,000. Women under 35 (NXT X) may join for $500. Girls under 18 (XX Junior) may join for $250. Note: register one member at a time on this page.
For a larger gift or the monthly payment option, just email Sarah Vaill at Liberty Hill at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (323) 556-7203.
Members' contributions are aggregated, and together, these funds make larger grants possible to organizations doing great work in the community.
Each grant cycle, XX Fund members nominate organizations for funding consideration, and Liberty Hill Foundation* assists with researching and vetting potential grantee organizations. Once a final nominee list is selected by the XX Fund Executive Committee, current members vote to select the final grantees. Each grantee in 2018 will receive a grant of $15,000. See all grant nominees, winners, and their videos at thexxfund.com.
* The XX Fund is hosted by the Liberty Hill Foundation (www.libertyhill.org), the national leader in social justice. Organizing and advocacy powered by Liberty Hill has changed national policies, launched movements, transformed neighborhoods, and nurtured hundreds of community leaders who respond to the experience of injustice by fighting for their rights. All contributions to Liberty Hill (The XX Fund) are tax-deductible to the furthest extent of the law.
