OUT Fund is a giving circle composed of individuals with diverse backgrounds who are committed to leveraging resources and expertise to make a positive impact in our community. The Fund's focus is to support organizations and projects that serve Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) communities in Los Angeles County.
The giving priorities are to support organizations or projects that focus on underserved and marginalized communities including: youth, transgender, racial & ethnic minorities, seniors, undocumented immigrants, and immigrants.
Since its inaugural year in 2012, the OUT Fund has made grants of over $200,000 to local organizations. Organizations must be designated a 501(c)(3) charity or have a fiscal sponsor. Organizations budget size of under $1 million preferred. The Fund is a donor-advised fund of the Liberty Hill Foundation.
"The vision of the OUT Fund donors in supporting smaller projects like TransYouth Speak is much needed and is an encouragement for grassroots professionals and activists to keep on with the work."
