We’re excited to announce the launch of the Thriving Communities Grant Program—a new innovative grant program that empowers local organizations advancing climate and environmental priorities in frontlines communities throughout the region!

The program will provide subgrants to community-based nonprofits working toward climate and environmental justice in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, the Pacific Islands, and 148 Tribal Nations.
Eligible projects and activities include those that tackle environmental justice issues such as waste management needs, improving air and water quality, among others.
Community-based and grassroots nonprofits, Tribal and local governments, Native American organizations, intertribal consortia, and institutions of higher education are eligible to apply.
Application Process
We are committed to ensuring that all eligible groups have the opportunity to apply. Should you require assistance with proposals, reporting, and evaluation, the Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Centers (TCTACs) are pleased to offer technical support. Those TCTACs include the Center for Community Energy and Environmental Justice at San Diego State University and the West Environmental Justice Center at the University of Arizona.

The Liberty Hill team will also host drop-in hours to support applicants and any specific inquiries about the application. Join one of the drop-in hours for support on specific questions and one-on-one with a member of the Liberty Hill Thriving Communities Grant Program team.

Resources Legacy Fund
