The event—co-hosted by Liberty Hill’s Environment + Justice Donor Circlefeatured presentations from frontline environmental justice and worker's rights community organizers and movement leaders including Ana Gonzalez of the Center for Community Action and Environmental JusticeAndrea Vidaurre of People’s Collective for Environmental Justice, Adrian Martinez of EarthjusticeSheheryar Kaoosji of Warehouse Worker Resource Center.

As we learned, the dangers of exposure to environmental hazards are especially severe for disadvantaged communities of color that live near warehouses, railyards and freeways. For many community members, those negative health impacts are increased by unsafe working conditions, lack of worker protections, and lack of job stability in the sector. Together, with our community partners, organizers, and advocates, Liberty Hill will continue to fight environmental racism and organize for a safer, healthier, and greener Southern California for all.
