Election Season Prop Parties Ignite Enthusiasm Among Progressive Voters

At Liberty Hill, we believe the people most affected by injustice should be leading the fight for change—from the community meeting to the protest march to the ballot box. That’s why we relaunched our Liberty Vote! Program this year to encourage electoral engagement in our most disenfranchised communities.

As we head into the critical final days of this election season, we also have hosted several virtual “Prop Party” events designed to make sure our constituents are ready to make their voices heard on the issues they care about on this year’s ballot. We partnered with our B.L.A.C.C. Giving Circle to co-host their “Allies on Me” and “Black Lady” Prop Parties, along with partners at the Angelenos for L.A. Giving Circle, Latino Community Foundation, Black Women for Wellness, and California Calls.

These lively events featured a rundown of important ballot initiatives that have the power to make significant progress, such as the Schools and Communities First initiative that will move millions of dollars into local schools.

We invite you to download Liberty Hill's Voter Guide 2020, which includes select racial justice ballot measures and recommendations informed by activists on the frontlines of social change and individuals directly impacted by the issues.

And don’t forget to make your voice heard this Tuesday, November 3rd!
