A Voice for Equity: Meet Our 2026 Upton Sinclair Dinner Honoree Speaker
Liberty Hill Foundation is thrilled to announce the second honoree speaker for our milestone 2026 Upton Sinclair Dinner, honoring 50 Years of Solidarity & Progress!
Get ready to be inspired by renowned immigrant rights champion and Executive Director of the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights Los Angeles (CHIRLA)—Angelica Salas!
For decades, Angelica redefined what grassroots organizing can be. She helped build power with immigrant communities, transform local and statewide policy, and demonstrate that when those closest to the pain lead, real change follows. Her leadership at CHIRLA helped forge one of the most powerful immigrant justice movements in the country, inspiring generations of organizers and advocates.
We are marking more than an anniversary, we are celebrating a movement fueled by courage, imagination, and the unwavering belief that Los Angeles can be a home where every community thrives!
At a moment when Los Angeles stands at a crossroads, Angelica’s voice, one rooted in courage, clarity, and community, speaks directly to the challenges and possibilities ahead.
This milestone celebration brings together the people who built Liberty Hill, the leaders who carried it forward, and the community that will shape what comes next. As we honor 50 Years of Solidarity and Progress, we also recommit ourselves to the work ahead and to the future we are building together.
We all aspire to live in a society that fosters pathways to life, liberty, and happiness, regardless of our skin color, country we come from, or language we speak. It is the grassroots movements and the unrelenting organizing that creates a firewall to make real the equity and justice we all deserve. I salute Liberty Hill in their 50 Years of Solidarity and Progress because their strength and conviction for a better world allows us to thrive. With you, we have never been alone in this fight, because Liberty Hill has supported us since the inception.
