Our Movement, Our Moment - Highlights from the 2019 Upton Sinclair Awards Dinner

For 37 years, Liberty Hill’s Upton Sinclair Awards Dinner has been the premier gathering for those at the epicenter of progress and justice in Los Angeles. Every year, political allies, donor-activists, grassroots leaders and community organizers from across the region come together to celebrate the progress made in fights for social change. This year, we honored three dynamic leaders and organizing icons who have paved the way for progress in our community—former Liberty Hill executive director Torie Osborn, Senator Holly J. Mitchell, and political director of SEIU Local 2015, Jared Rivera. The collective impact of their leadership has positively affected the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. We also had the opportunity to hear from LeQuan Muhammad of Social Justice Learning Institute about his journey as an advocate and leader in the fight to end youth incarceration as we know it.

Now you can relive some of the highlights of the 2019 Upton Sinclair Awards Dinner, or witness them for the first time.
