Ariella Reiss

Ariella brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience across nonprofit and business sectors, supporting organizations with budgets ranging from emerging nonprofits to institutions with revenues over $175M. Prior to Liberty Hill, Ariella worked with Your Part-Time Controller as an Interim CFO and Controller, where she served nonprofit organizations across Los Angeles, helping build expertise in GAAP compliance, government grants management, audit preparation, and financial strategy. She previously worked in large-scale arts & culture events as Controller for a live-action commercial production company in Los Angeles, and as a Finance Manager for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana.

She’s known for strengthening systems, building team capacity, and aligning financial strategy with mission impact. Ariella is a graduate of Bard College at Simon’s Rock, an accomplished speaker, and volunteers fostering cats. She brings a special awareness of the impact economic systems have on individuals, and strives to ensure her work prioritizes the interests of people before capital.
