Maggie Mireles

Director, Training and Capacity Building

Hill
I am committed to social justice work because I want to live in a world where individuals do not feel limited or alienated because of their citizenship, economic status, gender, sexuality or ethnicity/race. I want to do my part to leave this world better than I found it.

As Director, Training and Capacity Building, Maggie supports Liberty Hill’s leadership development and capacity building work. Maggie has spent over eight years working in the nonprofit and education sectors, serving across the education spectrum from elementary school to university settings. She served for five years at UnidosUS (formerly National Council of La Raza) in their California office. During her tenure at UnidosUS, she supported both its Affiliate Engagement team, building capacity for Latino-serving nonprofit members, and its Education team, leading their national college and career readiness program for high school students. Having lived across California, from the Bay Area to San Diego, she is grateful to be working for equity and social justice in her hometown of Los Angeles.
