Ricardo Chavira

Ricardo Chavira is the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications at Liberty Hill Foundation, where he leads the development and execution of integrated communications, narrative strategy, and brand engagement to amplify the Foundation’s mission and impact. He partners closely with senior leadership to translate organizational priorities into unified storytelling, digital engagement, and media strategies that elevate Liberty Hill’s presence in support of racial, economic, and environmental justice across Los Angeles.
With more than two decades of experience, Ricardo has built and scaled high-performing communications functions for mission-driven organizations. Before joining Liberty Hill, he served as Senior Vice President of Communications & Development at the Center for Policing Equity, where he directed national narrative and media strategy and guided cross-functional teams in shaping public discourse on public safety and systems change. Ricardo also led corporate marketing and executive communications at Bixal, a government consulting firm, and held marketing and communications leadership roles at the Gary Sinise Foundation and Co-opportunity, where he helped strengthen brand clarity, digital engagement, and content strategy.
Ricardo is known for integrating data-informed insights with compelling storytelling, aligning cross-departmental efforts around shared goals, and building collaborative team cultures rooted in creativity and accountability. He also brings deep experience in internal communications and change management, helping organizations navigate transitions with clarity and cohesion.
Outside of his professional work, Ricardo is a father, husband, and hopelessly loyal fan of Notre Dame (his alma mater) and the L.A. Chargers.
