What is a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)?
A Donor Advised Fund at Liberty Hill is the philanthropic vehicle of choice for the progressive donors of Los Angeles. Upon opening a DAF, you will focus on recommending your grants for impact while we handle the grantmaking process, due diligence, accounting, and if desired, the investment of the fund. You avert the red tape, expense, and siloed funding of a private foundation, joining instead a vibrant community for progressive philanthropy. DAF administrative fees are reinvested into the campaigns and operations of Liberty Hill, fueling more power-building and social change.

We offer our expertise in trust-based philanthropy and participatory grantmaking processes to maximize impact and uplift community-led approaches and solutions.
