Aire Libre: An Evening of Art, Culture, Environmental Justice, & Democracy
Presented by Liberty Hill Foundation, East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice, and Erin Cooney, Aire Libre will bring together artists, organizers, and community voices for a powerful celebration of movement, resilience, and imagination.
Join us on March 29, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the historic Art Theatre of Long Beach for an afternoon featuring a short film screening, live performances, and dynamic panel discussion exploring the intersections of art, environmental justice and the collective future we’re building together.
Aire Libre is a collaborative project between artist Erin Cooney, East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice, CONTRA-TIEMPO artist dance company, poet Rocio Carlos, and vocalists Carmina Escobar and Joung-A Monica Yum.
Their work uplifts community stories and creative resistance, and we can’t wait to share it with you! We hope you’ll join us for this unforgettable gathering of art, activism, and community power.
