Eaton Fire Grassroots Recovery Fund
To sustainably fund the operations of an invite-only group of vetted recipient organizations and their projects/initiatives.
To sustainably fund the operations of an invite-only group of vetted recipient organizations and their projects/initiatives. Participant organizations are survivor-led grassroots organizations working at the gaps of standard disaster recovery models in communities affected by the Eaton Fire, centering the needs of groups who are poorly served or entirely ignored by traditional recovery mechanisms, including renters, underinsured and uninsured survivors, seniors, and others. All organizations are focused on and have a proven history of providing household-level direct support in multiple forms, including cash aid, remediation, and services to survivors. Participant organizations may undertake projects independently or in partnership with each other, or other organizations, but any funded project should be vetted and meaningfully led by a recipient organization.
