Democracy is on the ballot...are you ready?

Across Los Angeles and the country, communities are preparing for a high-stakes election season that requires every voter to be fully informed, confident, and clear on what is on their ballot. At Liberty Hill, our commitment to a fair democratic process means ensuring that every community member has the tools and knowledge to participate meaningfully.

We aren't waiting for Election Day to organize. Our 2026 Liberty Vote! strategy reflects Liberty Hill's commitment to building electoral power beyond any single election. This year, we invested $350,000 in six Los Angeles movement organizations—LAANE Action, LA Forward Action Fund, La Defensa, InnerCity Struggle, KIWA, and ACCE Action—to strengthen voter education, civic participation, grassroots organizing, and the lasting infrastructure communities need to exercise power in our democracy.

This critical work ensures voters understand their fundamental rights and can confidently navigate complex ballot measures. Powered by dedicated grassroots community partners, this effort demystifies key issues on the ballot that directly impact our neighborhoods and families.

To ensure you and your neighbors are fully prepared this election season, we encourage you to explore these voter education resources created by three long-term community partners. These guides offer practical voting information, including how to vote under special circumstances, bilingual voter education, and a clear-eyed, accessible breakdown of the ballot items, local measures, and the high-stakes election timeline.

In moments like this, the Liberty Hill community has a vital role to play. By staying informed and showing up at the ballot box, we can take direct action to empower our communities and strengthen our democracy.
