New Season, New Conversations: Connecting 50 Years of Movement Building to LA’s Future
We’re thrilled to announce the return of Conversations from the Frontlines, our PR-ism Award-winning podcast hosted by President & CEO Shane Murphy Goldsmith. Season 5 is now available wherever podcasts are steamed, with full video episodes debuting for the first time on Liberty Hill’s YouTube channel.
As Liberty Hill marks 50 years of supporting grassroots movements, this new season explores who has the power to shape the future and what donors, foundations, public institutions, and everyday Angelenos can do to advance lasting change. Through candid conversations with movement leaders, leading experts, thought-provoking authors, and advocates, listeners will gain insight into the ideas and strategies driving progress in Los Angeles and beyond.

Season 5 opens with two compelling conversations. In the premiere episode, Glen Galaich, CEO of the Stupski Foundation, discusses how philanthropy can move beyond traditional models of control toward trust-based partnerships that share power with communities. Episode 2 features award-winning journalist and author Sonali Kolhatkar, who explores the role of narrative in shaping public understanding of race, democracy, and social change.
Across Los Angeles, community leaders are organizing to strengthen democracy, expand opportunities, and advance racial, environmental, and economic justice. Through powerful storytelling and thoughtful dialogue, Conversations from the Frontlines highlights the people and movements making that work possible and offers listeners a closer look at how lasting change happens.
