A Program of the Liberty Hill Foundation

Established by two generous donors, The Bertha Wolf & Lance Miller Families Fund for Community Service, a program of the Liberty Hill Foundation, will provide six or more young people (ages 18-25 as of December 31, 2021) with a stipend of at least $6,500 each, while they work at a nonprofit organization in Southern California during the 2022 calendar year. Recipients will be given the stipend to help cover basic living costs (e.g., rent, food, utilities, transportation and childcare).

If your questions were not answered in the FAQs, please email bwrstipend@libertyhill.org. Due to the overwhelming response to this program, phone call inquiries will not be accepted. Please feel free to share this broadly within your networks.

This stipend award provided support for my living costs, fresh food, transportation to work, and health services. Receiving this award allowed me to be proactive in my personal life as well as my work life where I support residents across South and East Los Angeles seeking wellness support.
