Native American and Filipino Heritage Month

November 29, 2022

Liberty Hill is proud to celebrate the rich history and heritage of Native American and Filipino American People.

We acknowledge that we sit on the unceded territory of the Tongva people, and that the state of California is home to nearly 200 tribal nations. We acknowledge and honor the original inhabitants of our various regions and support the resilience and strength that all Indigenous people have shown worldwide. Learn more about the Native and Indigenous-led organizations we support below.

Did you know that Los Angeles is also home to one of the largest Filipino communities outside of the Philippines?

Grassroots organizing has helped this community thrive. We support work led by organizations like the Pilipino Workers Center and the Filipino Migrant Center, immigrant-led groups that fight to demand better living and working conditions, as well as aim to educate, organize, and mobilize low-income working class Filipino families. Learn more about their work below.
