Fund for Change

Fund for Change

Fund for Change provides community organizing support to groups building power that creates change.

The Fund for Change

Liberty Hill believes that lasting change emerges from community organizing and social justice movements. The Fund for Change is Liberty Hill’s primary competitive grantmaking program. The Fund supports community organizing that builds power in communities in Los Angeles County most impacted by systemic oppression to achieve justice and equity.

How Does it Work?

The Fund for Change supports models of organizing that create a pipeline for leadership growth, strengthen a membership base, support strategic campaign development and build coalitions in low-income communities of color.

More information is available in the directory of grassroots groups we support.

How to Apply

Application for the Fund for Change is by invitation only for the 2020 cycle.

Liberty Hill is shaping new guidelines and focus for the Fund for Change for 2021 and beyond, which we will be announcing later in the year through email and community meetings throughout L.A. County—be on the lookout for more information here and on social media.

We are grateful to the many community partners and grantees who have contributed their time and expertise to this process, and look forward to speaking with many more voices in the coming months!
